Pakistan International School Jeddah English Section paid tribute to our fallen soldiers by inviting chief guests Commander Shahab Aziz, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz Military from Pakistan Navy and Squadron Leader Irshad Faisal from Pakistan Air Force who joined our Senior School Scouts in the Guard of Honour Parade along with our honourable Principal, Mr Adnan Nasir and Mr. Muhammad Irfan, Link Officer, Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah, followed by the program in the auditorium of presentations by each of the officers about their respective professions plus one about the Pakistani Army.
Our School Jeddah English Section paid tribute to our fallen soldiers by inviting officers of the Pakistan Navy and Air Force who gave presentations about their respective professions plus an army presentation followed by a question and answer session. The event also had a recitation of the dua “Lab pe Aati hai dua,” a poem narration commending the Pakistan Army and a singing performance of the national song “Pakistan Zindabad.”
In Honourable Principal, Mr Adnan Nasir’s address, he welcomed the chief guests and spoke of the importance of this significant day, thanking our military personnel for their endless sacrifices in defending our borders and maintaining peace.
The event concluded with the announcement of Vice and Head Prefects for the academic calendar 2024-2025.
For the Middle School event, the same programme sequence was followed. After the Pakistan Navy and Air Force officers gave presentations about their respective professions and the army presentation, a question and answer session followed. The event also had a poem narration on “Mighty Soldiers”, an informative presentation on Naishan-e-Haider, another poem on Defence Day and a play dedicated to real life heroes: Lieutenant General Nigar Johar Khan, Shaheed Maryam Mukhtiar, and female fighter pilot Ayesha Farooq.
In Honourable Principal, Mr Adnan Nasir’s closing remarks, he thanked the chief guests for their time and informative speeches. He said he was impressed with the level of the questions asked by the students and the performances noting the significance of this crucial day.
