Cricketer Mr Shahid Afridi’s Visit to PISJES

Adding invaluably to the long list of PISJES’ star-studded legacy, it is a matter of great pride and honour to host Former Captain of Pakistan National Cricket Team, Mr Shahid Afridi, a name synonymous with excellence in cricket.

In Principal Mr Adnan Nasir’s welcome address, he thanked Mr Shahid Afridi for taking out the time to visit and interact with the students of PISJES and spoke about him being admired for his extraordinary skills, dynamic performances and remarkable contributions on and off the field, being the record holder of one of the fastest centuries in ODI Cricket plus having his own Shahid Afridi Foundation that works hard in providing education and health care in deprived rural areas of Pakistan.

In Mr Shahid Afridi’s dialogue, he said he was happy to meet the future of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He motivated the students to dream, dream big and to have the courage and the ambition to strive for something great, even if it seems impossible after which he engaged in a Q&A session with our Senior School students and continued onto teaching the PISJES Cricket Girls and Boys Team some tips and tricks of the game in our cricket camp with Middle School students in the audience.
